Saturday morning, 9:45, EU reading and a flat white. March Coffee has been one of my go-to coffee shops in Exeter for a while, but I’d never tested it’s ‘study spot’ capabilities before. I put it to the ‘Lucy Does Law’ test and here’s how it did:
I love the chilled atmosphere in March Coffee. It’s not a noisy, busy environment at all – the cafe is often full – but the customers aren’t disruptive and whilst I was studying there, there were three other tables occupied by people working too. There’s a bit of music in the background, so if you’re looking for a silent environment, this isn’t for you. I’m not usually a study-to-music person, but the low volume and chilled nature of the tunes provided a great background to my studying.
I went for my go-to, a flat white, and it didn’t disappoint. To start, it looked STUNNING, but the result was a very creamy, delicious coffee. The roast is quite bitter, so it certainly gave me the boost of energy that I needed to get through my chapter! The baristas clearly know how to make a good coffee.
As I was writing up notes from a textbook – I didn’t have the opportunity to test out the Wifi!
If you’re into a minimalistic, neutral interior, March Coffee has you sorted. Lots of plants and natural tones, the coffee shop is bound to be a great feature on your Instagram.
March Coffee is defo one to recommend – I’ll be back soon!
P.S. They also do AMAZE homemade donuts… just saying…
